Muck Disposal Unit
The WMDU-65 is a purpose-built rail-borne muck disposal unit for mechanised track maintenance on Indian Railways. It operates in consist with Ballast Cleaning Machines (BCM/SBCM), collecting screened ballast muck and disposing it on either side of the track simultaneously — eliminating manual handling and dramatically accelerating maintenance block utilisation.
