Ovis Equipments Private Limited (OEPL) was founded in 1987 by a team of technocrats in Cherlapally, an industrial suburb of Hyderabad, India. From day one, We have striven to deliver the most reliable and reputed railway products in the country; Our commitment to quality and the community has never wavered.

Over the years, OEPL’s reach has grown internationally, with customers spread across Asia and Africa. Our service team has risen to a prominent status in delivering the exceptional after-sales support customers need. We are also a fiscally responsible company that has turned a profit every year since incorporation.


Our vision is simple: to be a market leader in the design & manufacture of rail based material handling systems and customised equipments through appropriate technology.


To achieve this vision, our mission is to perform as ‘manufacturers of equipments on sound & optimum design platform based on customers’ needs and quality expectation ensuring promised delivery and performance leading to permanent customer delight.

OEPL is committed to achieving its mission and meeting its customers needs across the globe. From rail-based equipment to customized special purpose machinery, we strive to meet all national and international standards through our ISO 9001-ceritified processes and operations.

OEPL has been ISO 9001 certified since 2006. This certification is a testament to our enduring commitment to the principles required to operate at the highest levels of quality management system. These principles, as outlined by ISO are:

  3. The process approach and continual improvement

By operating at such a level, we are able to provide customers with tailored solutions efficiently and effectively.

Management Team

The founders of OEPL all remain with the company and, along with other key contributors, make up our executive management team. This team ensures the successful long-term management of OEPL through a collaborative process while also maintaining expertise in key operational areas.

As the Managing Director, Mr. UJ Dhanapaul oversees all company functions and works closely
with each executive and many staff members.

Mr. R Muralidharan serves in a leading consulting role in product design, design coordination,
warranty support, and spares and service.

As Director, Mr. D ArunPrakash oversees operations and is responsible for new product development,
with a focus on product design.

The General Manager: Finance is Mr. K Suresh Chary, who handles the finance and accounting
of OEPL and its liaisons with the government.

Mr. MSR Chari is the General Manager: Commercial and is charge of customer relations,
marketing, and business development.

Working with the General Manager: Commercial is Mr. KK Mahadevan, the Deputy General Manager: Customer Support.

Mr. K JayaKKumar is the General Manager: Works and is responsible for production quality control,
working with its team of engineers.

Processes and Suppliers

OEPL employs a ‘best of breed’ approach to its operations. This means that we source our materials and components from top class suppliers that are able to meet our in-house quality control standards. Our suppliers are primarily Indian and German.

Not only has our team of engineers set rigorous quality control standards to ensure a reliable and effective final product, their expertise has resulted in developing our own in-house software for the optimal design of critical components like gears, springs, axles, and bearings. Industry standard programs in design and modeling compliment our internally developed programs, maximizing our ability to deliver customized solutions.
